Lerderderg Gorge Circuit

Not bad for about an hour’s drive from Melbourne. You can both park your car and start the walk from Mackenzies Flat Picnic Area.

Graham’s Dam is just before the loop ascent and descent, which means you can go for a swim after (or before) the climb. The water was a too low for us, so we swam about 15 minutes further south.

The loop ascent itself is pretty vertical, so don’t skimp on shoes.
